My poetry is something that has been a refuge for me when the build up of emotion bursts beyond what I can express in even the best attempts at conversational eloquence. Honestly, my poetry is my oldest friend and most consistent companion since I was young. It has never looked down on me, but rather it listens and then repeats in its excellent way the ideas that I have had trouble understanding. This is not to say that my friend is always accurate or even representative of what a Christian should feel. But I can say that it is honest and it has been a loyal companion. I encourage you, if you would dare, to let poetry into your life so that you too may find your heart embarking upon a flowing stream of emotional clarity.
