The Teacher’s Poem

The contrast of my soul,

Events run rampant wild,

The world still turns despite my change,

I’m forced to sit and smile.

What irony that who I was,

Is now who I must face,

Looking just for answers,

Looking just for grace.

My advice to you is simple,

But some you will not take,

Facts will not fulfill you,

Your mindset you must break.

For knowledge does come simple,

But does not give you peace,

Its passion you desire,

To set your heart at ease.

I tell you as a veteran,

Of analyzing life,

Find joy in what’s around you,

Put passion in your sight.
